Setup required cron jobs

What are cronjobs?

A cronjob is a scheduled task that runs on a specified interval (for example every minute). This is required to automatically collect cryptocurrency price data, run your trading algorithms and update exchange information such as tradepairs for exchanges.

Add cronjobs – guide for Windows PC

If you installed Cryptoblizz on your Windows PC, you need to add scheduled tasks that run the Cryptoblizz cronjobs. This is not too hard, and we have explained this step by step.

  1. Go to your Cryptoblizz installation
  2. In the menu on the left, click ‘System & log’
  3. Now click the button ‘Install CRON scheduled tasks’
  4. Follow the instructions on your screen in the box with the title “If you are running Cryptoblizz on your Windows PC”

Verify if cronjobs are running

If you have created an automated trader from the ‘Traders dashboard’ than you can easily verify if you have setup the required cronjobs correctly by opening the trader and scrolling down the page to the ‘Buys & sells graph’. You should see a blue line here indicating the price of the trading pair. If you do not see any information in this graph, your cronjobs are not setup correctly or your trader has not run yet. Make sure to also check the run interval setting on your automated trader.

Please note, the trader must be in simulation or live trading mode in order for this data to get collected.
